On April 26, 2024, the U.S. Department of Labor issued a final rule that significantly raises the salary threshold for determining overtime pay eligibility for certain salaried employees. Starting July 1, employees performing executive, administrative or professional work and earning less than the new salary level of $43,888 will be eligible for overtime pay.
