Local Industry Night

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, it’s more important than ever to come together as a community. We invite you to join us at Local Industry Night at the Airport Design Center in Fletcher on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. This will be an evening to strengthen our connections within the building industry and beyond while enjoying a community meal by Wally’s Backyard BBQ. So many of you have been working tirelessly to support your communities and the surrounding ones. Come see familiar faces, share your experiences, connect the dots between industry professionals, and vent frustrations while finding solutions. Together, we craft more than just homes; we build trust, resilience, and a shared vision for a brighter future here in Western North Carolina.

Thank you to Christie’s Lighting Gallery for hosting this event on behalf of the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Airport Design Center consists of the following businesses: Advance Cabinetry, Carolina Closets, Carpet and More, Sun Mountain Door, Crossville Studios, Arden Garage Door, Blinds and Designs, Pella Windows, Christie's Lighting Gallery, and Horizon Tile. Many of these businesses will be open for you to visit during this event.

We are currently supporting our membership by raising funds through GoFundMe (https://gofund.me/db9e4545) as well as working with Beloved Asheville to collect supplies. 

Beloved Asheville’s current needs list:

• Funds (to support re-homing Hurricane survivors and repairing homes)
• Homes and Land for donation or purchase to move Hurricane victims who lost their homes
• Starlink satellite systems
• Generators
• Power tools
• Lowe’s gift cards
• Infrared heaters
• 4×4 UTVs (ideally with dump)
• Skid steer, excavator, and transport trailer
• Commercial refrigerators and freezer
